Faction Rules

These rules are more or less for the faction when playing in-game. Most of them are obvious and one wouldn't need to read them if they are generally a nice person. They may be subject to change with or without warning.

1. Chat appropriately (Limited to Faction Chat Only)
    A. No excessive swearing.
    B. Keep the topics clean (i.e. no cybering)
    C. No spam. This includes using the arrow key (up) to repeat what you've said previously (This applies to; don't sit and beg for a revive, selling/buying items, and/or help with regular killing quests).
    D. When faction chat is being used to communicate important information, please respect it and the players by not interrupting with random chatter.
    E. Do not use faction chat as your squad chat. That is what your squad chat is for.
    F. Typing in all capital letters or using the caps lock button means you are shouting. Do not shout every single word. Exceptions are typing one WORD in the sentence in caps - which is the equivalence to bolding a word for emphasize when the actual bold function isn't available.
    G. If another player you think is getting out of hand, contact an officer to deal with the problem, or solve the problem yourself using whispers, not faction chat arguments.
    H. No "Help Spam." This refers to spamming faction chat for help when nobody responds the first time. After asking for the same thing twice, you are to wait an hour before asking for the same thing again. If you need help with something that you can't do by yourself, and you don't get it immediately, please inform BlkChick, and she will help or make sure you get the help you need.

2. Be respectful to ALL players
    A. Players with positions other than commissioners are not authoritative figures.
    B. All members are equal members and shall be treated as such.
    C. Just because a player is a lower level than you does not mean you can be rude to them. Level does not give authority either.
    D. No name calling. It is wrong and will not be tolerated.
    E. No trolling other members. Trolling is when you're trying to cause someone else to become angry without you being the first to "start the fight."

3. Limit the role-play chatting
    A. Do not get angry if certain members are not playing along.
    B. Do not force them to play along either.
    C. Keep the role-play on a clean, somewhat mature level.

4. Be active players! <3
    A. If you are inactive for too long, you will most likely be demoted and/or banished from the faction in order to make room for new, active players.
    B. If you do not wish to be demoted/banished, please leave a note in the absence thread.
    C. If you have a position and are NOT active, then you can be demoted. This includes random activity such as active for a few months then inactive for the next few months, then activity again the next. You are not guaranteed the position back once you are demoted or have resigned.

5. Alternative characters in the faction must also be active or they can be banished without notice.
    A. All characters by the same player will have the same Title.

6. Players must be at least level 15 before joining the faction
    A. This does not apply to newly created alternative characters.
    B. Some exceptions may occur.

Consequences

This is what can happen to you if you break our rules. Players with a position (Executors, Marshals, etc.) are simply mediators between disputes and are usually in contact with the leader if he cannot be reached by normal standards. HOWEVER, everyone has the responsibility of following rules and reminding others of them if they slip up. Consequences shall only be taken into consideration if there is evidence of the rule being broken (example: screen shots of a conversation). Warnings and reminders shall be given to the player in question through WHISPERS, not guild chat.

Situations that are being dealt with are at the discretion of the officer that talks to you about a rule if you've broken it. If someone is warning you about a rule, don't be rude about it. They may choose not to report the incident if the offense wasn't harsh enough in their judgment. Talking back to a player may not only encourage them to report you but may give evidence for two reports if you're being disrespectful. I'm only mentioning this with good intentions.

1. Chat appropriately (Limited to Faction Chat Only)
Starts off with warnings to the player that is inappropriately chatting. If the problem persists with acceptable evidence, banishment of said player can occur.

2. Be respectful to ALL players
Respect is a big deal both in forums and in the faction. Invasion will not have disrespectful players ruining everyone's game play. Any incident that makes you want to turn off guild chat should be screen shotted and sent to either the director or leader via forum mail. This will lead to warnings - no second chances. Banishment will occur if the problem persists with the same disrespectful player. This also includes disrespect to players outside the faction as well.

3. Limit the role-play chatting
Several warnings unless the player gets annoying by several people's accounts - then banishment.

4. Be active players! <3
If you aren't active, you will be banished because it is assumed you quit the game. You can avoid this by posting in the absence/leaving thread if you are on vacation, grounded, etc.

5. No more than three characters per player in the faction.
Extra (inactive) characters may be banished to make room for the new and active. This is usually dealt on a player-by-player basis.

6. Players must be at least level 15 before joining the faction
It is common that you find players who try a game out for a day and never play it again. These types of gamers don't usually go past level 15, so that's why we make note of it. If they're inactive for too long without notice via absence/leaving thread, then they'll be assumed to have quit the game and therefore banish from the faction.
